Psalm 91
This Psalm is one of 11 Psalms written by Moses 90-100, the second in that series. Moses dedicated this to the tribe of Levi. Who spent their lives in the shadow of the Almighty? God is making promises to those who continually seek Him. These faithful people trust in their God for all things. Verses 1-8 describe our trust in Him and His protection of us.
Psalm 91:1-8 He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  2I will say of Yahuweh, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield (shield in the Hebrew is barbed shield, one that keeps at a distance)and buckler. 5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; 6Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. 7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
These verses tell you why He does these things.
Psalm 91:9-11 Because thou hast made Yahuweh, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; here shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Matthew 24:31 He sends His angels to gather you up.
Psalm 91: 12-16 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.  Psalm 46 the son of Korah was saved the same way, suspended in mid air.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.  14Because he hath set his love upon me, (Shama Israel! Deuteronomy 6:4-6) therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. 16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
In the original language “it” referring to Israel is used, in King James the word “he” is used referring to each of us individually. Yahushua has died so that we can have that personnel relationship directly with the Father. These promises are to each one of us through His Son’s blood.
Father we thank You for the precious blood of Your Son and our ability to call ABBA, Father as Your children, seeing by Your Word that redemption is near, knowing in our hearts Your loving kindness and protection we abound in love for You and others, forgiving and being forgiven, loving and being loved, standing holy before You by our confession, obedience, and sanctification through the Spirit of truth world without end. Halle lu YAH
